THE WORLD IS A BOOK, THOSE WHO DO NOT TRAVEL ONLY READ A PAGE
Soundtrack: 3rd Movement Andante - Brahms
It is not always easy to find something to blog about. So I decided to go back to basics and find inspiration from books.
Stumbled across this little bookshop on Phra Sumen road. They have a mixture of literary, travel, comic and art books.
The shop is divided into 2 sides. One the left, Thai books cover the whole wall floor to ceiling. Local authors and translated versions of classic novels.
The other side houses English language books, of famous tales to adventure novels.
There is a little section of art books. Mixture of exhibition editions and coffee table hardbacks.
Above the shelves there are random colourful bits on display and some photography on the wall.
Smile-worthy one-liners spread across the panels of the ceiling.
It's like the original status update.
The Passport Bookshop has been opened for over 10 years and have been at their current location for 5. Makes me glad to know that something like this has survived through the years.
They also serve drinks. Your standard juices, coffee and tea.
Souvenir-esque objects are spread across which for me adds more charm to the place.
I personally believe a bookshop is not complete without Japanese manga. But they also have Japanese novels on sale.
This little gem can be found on Phra Sumen road. Perfect for escaping city noise.
Perhaps it's time to write someone a postcard?
Happy reading!
