ISSUE OF THE WEEK

ORGANIC LIVING

Soundtrack: Aruarian Dance - Nujabes

It's never too late to start living and eating clean.
I, for one, am guilty of indulging often in good fatty burgers with cheese and crunchy french fries. Not to mention the icy cold sugary cola drink to wash it down with. Those days are followed by guilt and panic and then I turn into a veggie and fresh juice guru. The vicious cycle goes on.

A town like Bangkok where eating out is actually cheaper than cooking at home, you develop a habit of not buying anything that resembles food for your fridge and rely on deliveries.

In an effort to eating better and more consistently, I visited a 'farmer's market'. An event held every first Saturday of every month; it was quite interesting and at least something different to do on a Saturday morning.

As well as food, there are products like creams and washing liquids that are made entirely out of natural ingredients.

Clothes and yoga mats covers.

Home made cooking oils and sour doughs

There is a tea leaf shop that boasts to have over 3000 original recipes including love potions! Packaged according to the time of day you should be drinking it at.
They also make their own cooking oils.

Finish the day with some fresh coconut juice.

DID YOU KNOW?

Coconut juice is high in potassium and low in sodium. This helps reduce high blood pressure. A better way to re-hydrate after a work out as it replaces the electrolytes lost from sweat.

WHERE

This market is held on the lawn of Bo-Lan Thai restaurant in Sukhumvit Soi 26.
Catch it every first Saturday of every month from 9.30 am to 2.30 pm.

 Happy healthy living!
